County Wills (South West) Ltd, based near Swindon, is the Will writer of choice for many people across Wiltshire and the South West region.
Founded by Ann Douglas in 1999, the company has an enviable reputation for friendly, efficient service. What sets Ann apart is her commitment to making Will writing an easy process for you.
With County Wills you benefit from:
Before you commit to anything, Ann offers comprehensive advice to help you make the right decisions. And if she's unable to visit you directly, she'll even put you in touch with recommended associates across the country.
To talk to Ann Douglas about making a Will, either call on 01793 840174 (or 07422 574408 if you prefer), or email her here.
Decisions you make now will impact on the future of your estate, so it's vital you
understand the legal implications. Ann's approach is to guide you through each step,
in jargon-
First, make an appointment. Ann Douglas will visit you in the comfort of your own home. For your convenience, appointments are available after hours and at weekends. Before visiting, Ann will send you information to help guide your thinking.
During the meeting, Ann will ask you a series of questions to determine your needs and concerns. It's an opportunity to discuss your situation in detail, and to take advantage of experienced professional advice. If you need more time to think about things, Ann won't pressure you into making any decisions.
As well as deciding how your estate should be distributed on your death, you will also have to appoint executors. Normally this will be a trustworthy friend or family member, often themselves a beneficiary of your Will.
Appointing your solicitor or your bank as executors, can be expensive and your estate will bear the costs. Ann Douglas will never, at any time, insist on or pressurise you into appointing County Wills as an executor of your estate.
Once you've decided who will benefit from your estate and who will be named as executor(s), Ann will draft your Will. It will be sent to you for approval. If you need to make any changes or additions, or have any further questions, Ann Douglas is happy to help and is only a phone call away. When you are completely happy with your Will, it must be signed and witnessed. County Wills will advise you about this to ensure your Will is legal and binding.
Your Will becomes a legally binding document after it's been witnessed and signed.
Your Will should be kept in a secure place, ideally in a fireproof container.
County Wills can help with storing your Will. While you can store your own Will, it must be kept safe from accidental or deliberate damage. Sadly there have been instances where Wills are destroyed after a death, by the first person to find it. This can occur when they realise there could be more benefit to them if the Will disappears forever.
When you take charge of your finances and provide for your family, a huge weight is lifted. Without a Will, your affairs could be at the mercy of the courts and your estate could be diminished by expensive solicitor's fees.
Don't leave it to chance. Speak to Ann at County Wills on 01793 840174 (or 07422 574408 if you prefer). If preferred, simply email her here.
